The CBC Spouses Visual Arts Scholarship is an annual scholarship awarded by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF). The scholarship is designed to support African American or Black students who are pursuing a degree in the visual arts, including graphic design, illustration, painting, photography, and sculpture.
The scholarship provides financial assistance of up to $3,000 to cover tuition, fees, books, and other educational expenses. In addition to the financial award, scholarship recipients are invited to attend the annual CBCF General Assembly in Washington, D.C., where they can network with professionals and other scholarship recipients.
The CBC Spouses Visual Arts Scholarship not only provides financial support to talented and deserving students but also helps to promote diversity and excellence in the visual arts. By investing in the education and professional development of African American or Black students in this field, the scholarship is helping to ensure that the visual arts reflect the diversity of our society and that talented artists have the resources and support they need to succeed.
