The Mary J. Ewing Scholarship was created in 1993 to honour Mary Ewing’s selfless commitment to Team One Credit Union’s goals. Every community’s development and future depend heavily on education. As a result, this Foundation manages numerous scholarship programmes for students in high school, community college, universities, and vocational schools. Their first $500 scholarship was given out in 1987, and since then, the Saginaw Community Foundation has given out more than $8 million in scholarships. Use the scholarship directory to find out more about each of the 235+ scholarships we provide. Candidates must have a 3.0 GPA, be Team One Credit Union members, and be enrolled full-time in undergraduate studies at a Michigan college or university in order to be eligible for this prize.
In Fayette County, Illinois, Miss Ewing started her teaching career in a small, one-room school. After relocating to Saginaw, she began working as a fifth-grade teacher at North Elementary School before becoming the school’s first female assistant administrator. Through this scholarship, students will gain from Miss Ewing’s illustrious history of selfless giving, her insightful leadership of Team One Credit Union, and her love of learning.
