About This Scholarship

The Great Lakes Safety Training Scholarship was created to assist anyone who want to work in the construction or trades with a focus on safety. A citizen of Gratiot or Saginaw County who is pursuing a degree or certification in trades, manufacturing, engineering, or construction at a college, university, or accredited vocational/technical school will receive a scholarship each year from the fund. Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and submit an essay outlining why they chose this subject of study and how safety has affected or could influence their lives.
