For consideration, candidates must be enrolled in school for the upcoming academic year, be legal U.S. citizens or permanent residents, demonstrate financial need, be without any outstanding federal service obligations or judgement liens, and not be past due on a federal debt. Candidates must also understand that recipients are selected based on the evaluations of these criteria.

Eligibility Criteria For Bonnie Fang Nursing Scholarship

Here are some common factors that are often considered:

  • Enrollment or Acceptance in a Nursing Program: Most nursing scholarships require applicants to be enrolled or accepted into a nursing program at an accredited institution. This can include undergraduate, graduate, or vocational nursing programs.
  • Academic Achievement: Many nursing scholarships have minimum GPA requirements, and they may consider applicants’ academic records as an important factor in the selection process. Strong grades and academic achievements can increase the chances of receiving a scholarship.
  • Demonstrated Interest in Nursing: Scholarship programs may look for candidates who have a genuine passion for the nursing profession. This can be shown through involvement in nursing-related activities, such as volunteering at healthcare facilities, participating in nursing organizations, or shadowing nurses.
  • Financial Need: Some nursing scholarships are awarded based on financial need. Applicants may be required to provide information about their family’s income, assets, or other financial circumstances to demonstrate their need for financial assistance.
  • Letters of Recommendation: Many nursing scholarship applications require letters of recommendation from teachers, employers, or healthcare professionals who can vouch for the applicant’s skills, character, and potential as a nurse.
