About This Scholarship

The Hutchinson Medical School Scholarship Fund was created to support children who want to go to medical school and to honour students who succeed in both their character and their academic performance. The applicant must be a college senior who has been accepted to medical school or who is presently enrolled full-time in a programme at a recognised medical school. They must also be motivated personally to attain academic and moral excellence.

Candidates that meet the qualifications will also exhibit personal integrity, as seen by their leadership, involvement in the community, and care for others. Candidates must have graduated from a high school in San Mateo or Santa Clara County or have lived there continuously while in high school. In Dr.’s memory, the Hutchinson Medical School Scholarship Fund was created.
