Eligibility Criteria For Colorado State University Green and Gold Scholarship

The Colorado State University (CSU) Green and Gold Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship program offered to incoming freshmen who have demonstrated academic excellence and leadership in their high school career.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a high school senior planning to enroll as a full-time freshman at Colorado State University in the fall semester following their high school graduation.
  • Have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.80 on a 4.00 scale.
  • Demonstrate significant leadership and extracurricular involvement during their high school career.
  • Submit a completed application for admission to Colorado State University by the scholarship application deadline.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

The Green and Gold Scholarship award amount varies depending on the level of academic achievement and leadership demonstrated by the applicant. The scholarship covers full tuition and mandatory fees for up to eight semesters, as well as a $4,000 on-campus housing stipend per year.

In addition to the financial award, Green and Gold Scholars are also provided with opportunities to participate in leadership and academic programs, receive mentoring and advising, and engage in community service.
