About This Scholarship

If you arrived in the U.S. before turning 16 as an undocumented immigrant student, you might qualify for the Dream.US Opportunity Scholarship. The scholarship aims to assist high school graduates/seniors without legal status who reside in states where out-of-state tuition fees make it unfeasible to attend college or where state universities do not admit undocumented students. TheDream.US is responsible for offering the scholarship, and it is the largest program in the nation dedicated to helping DREAMers, who are young immigrants who entered the U.S. without documentation. TheDream.US strongly believes that all DREAMers need an opportunity to succeed, and providing them with financial aid to complete their college education is key. Every year, the Dream.US Opportunity Scholarship provides financial support of up to $80,000 to cover the expenses of a bachelor’s degree program at one of their Opportunity Partner Colleges. The grant is for students who graduated from a high school in the 50 states. The deadline is typically mid-March, and the grant is renewed annually, provided the student meets eligibility criteria and maintains satisfactory academic progress. The estimated scholarship amount can cover up to 90% of tuition fees at one of the Opportunity Partner Colleges, although a student can still be eligible for additional financial aid. Any extra funding the student receives must be used to cover any costs not covered by their Dream.US grant amount.

Eligibility Criteria For Dream.US Opportunity Scholarship

  • Opportunity Partner Colleges: The Dream.US Opportunity Scholarship provides financial support of up to $80,000 to cover the costs of a bachelor’s degree program at one of their Opportunity Partner Colleges.
