The First Friday Breakfast Club Scholarship is a scholarship program established by the First Friday Breakfast Club (FFBC), which is a nonprofit organization in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. The FFBC Scholarship is open to students who are currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college or university in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The scholarship awards are based on academic achievements, community involvement, and financial need.The FFBC Scholarship program is one of several initiatives that the First Friday Breakfast Club has established to support diversity, equity, and inclusion in the Philadelphia community. The FFBC also hosts networking events, educational programs, and community outreach events throughout the year. For males who identify as gay, bisexual, or transgender, there is a support group called the First Friday Breakfast Club (FFBC). We get together in Des Moines once a month for breakfast, conversation, and a guest. We give all of our members and visitors access to a secure and encouraging atmosphere. We are a vibrant, engaging breakfast club and the biggest in Iowa.

Eligibility Criteria For First Friday Breakfast Club Scholarship

The eligibility criteria for the First Friday Breakfast Club Scholarship may vary from year to year, but generally, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a resident of the Philadelphia metropolitan area or attending a college or university in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
  • Be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program on a full-time basis.
  • The applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Demonstrate financial need by submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.
  • Be a member of an underrepresented group, including but not limited to: African American, Hispanic/Latino, Native American, Asian American, LGBTQ+, and students with disabilities.
  • Submit a complete scholarship application by the designated deadline, including a personal statement, resume, and letters of recommendation.
