About This Scholarship

The Oklahoma State University Boys and Girl Club Scholarship was created to assist someone who participated actively in a Boys & Girls Club while they were in high school and who wants to pursue an engineering degree. An incoming freshman who is selected for this scholarship at OSU will receive $15,000 per year for up to four years of study towards a BS in engineering, as well as funding for extracurricular activities and domestic and foreign travel. Each year, just one new award is given out.

Eligibility Criteria For Oklahoma State University Boys and Girl Club Scholarship

Here are some common eligibility considerations:

  • Field of study: The scholarship may specifically target students pursuing a degree or specialization in engineering or a related field, such as mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or biomedical engineering.
  • Academic qualifications: Scholarships often have academic requirements, such as a minimum GPA or enrollment in an accredited college or university. The specific GPA or academic requirements can vary between scholarship programs.
  • Engineering involvement and experience: Scholarships may value applicants who have demonstrated involvement in engineering-related activities, such as participation in robotics clubs, engineering competitions, engineering internships, or other relevant experiences. These essays provide an opportunity for you to showcase your knowledge, commitment, and unique qualities.
  • Letters of recommendation: Some scholarships may require one or more letters of recommendation from teachers, professors, mentors, or individuals who can speak to your qualifications, dedication, and potential as an engineering student.
  • Community involvement: Boys and Girls Club scholarships may consider an applicant’s involvement in community service or leadership roles within the Boys and Girls Club or other organizations.
