About This Scholarship

The Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS) is a highly prestigious science and math competition in the United States, previously known as the Intel Science Talent Search. It is sponsored by Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and run by the Society for Science.The Regeneron STS provides high school seniors with an opportunity to showcase their original research in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. The competition involves an application process, and the selected finalists are invited to Washington, D.C., to participate in a week-long event that includes a formal awards ceremony.

The top 40 finalists receive cash prizes, and the top ten finalists receive significantly larger cash awards. Additionally, all finalists are eligible for scholarships from various universities and colleges.

Eligibility Criteria For Regeneron Science Talent Search Scholarship

The Regeneron Science Talent Search Scholarship is a prestigious program that recognizes and supports high school seniors in the United States who demonstrate exceptional scientific research skills and potential. To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Citizenship: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the US.
  • Grade level: Applicants must be enrolled in and attending high school in the United States or a U.S. territory, and must be in their final year of high school.
  • Research project: Applicants must have conducted an original scientific research project in any field of science, engineering, mathematics, or medicine. The research must have been conducted primarily during the current academic year or summer, and must be submitted to the competition in the form of a research paper.
  • School endorsement: Applicants must be endorsed by a teacher or other school official who can attest to the student’s research ability and potential.

Application submission: Applicants must complete and submit the online application, which includes personal and academic information, research abstract, research paper, transcripts, test scores, and letters of recommendation.
