About This Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria For Texas A&M University – McFadden Scholarship

The McFadden Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship offered by Texas A&M University to incoming freshman students. The eligibility criteria for the McFadden Scholarship are as follows:

  • U.S. Citizenship: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
  • High School Graduation: Applicants must be high school seniors who will graduate before the scholarship begins.
  • Academic Achievement: Applicants must have a minimum SAT score of 1400 or an ACT composite score of 30, and a minimum high school GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Leadership and Extracurricular Activities: Applicants must have demonstrated leadership abilities and a commitment to extracurricular activities.
  • Financial Need: Applicants must demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

The McFadden Scholarship covers the full cost of tuition, fees, room and board, books, and a stipend for other expenses. In addition, McFadden Scholars have access to a variety of enrichment opportunities, including study abroad programs, internships, and leadership development programs.
