About This Scholarship

The University of South Florida (USF) Green & Gold Directors Award is a merit-based scholarship awarded to incoming freshmen who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership skills, and a commitment to community service. This scholarship covers full tuition and fees, as well as room and board, for four years.

To apply for the Green & Gold Directors Award, students must submit a completed application for admission to USF by the priority deadline. Additionally, students must submit a separate scholarship application, which includes an essay, a resume of extracurricular activities and honors, and two letters of recommendation. The scholarship committee will review all applications and select finalists for interviews, after which the scholarship recipients will be selected.

The University of South Florida (USF) Green & Gold Directors Award is a merit-based scholarship awarded to incoming freshmen based on their academic and extracurricular achievements. The eligibility criteria for the Green & Gold Directors Award include:

  • Applicants must be incoming freshmen enrolling at USF in the fall semester.
  • Applicants must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.8 on a 4.0 scale and they must have a minimum SAT score of 1200 (or ACT composite score of 25).
  • Applicants must demonstrate significant leadership, service, and extracurricular involvement during high school.
  • Applicants must have completed a rigorous academic curriculum during high school, including honors, Advanced Placement (AP), or International Baccalaureate (IB) courses.

In addition to the above criteria, the Green & Gold Directors Award may also take into account factors such as financial need, diversity, and geographic location in the selection process.
