About This Scholarship

The University of South Florida Presidential Award is a prestigious scholarship program offered by the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa, Florida. It is awarded to a select group of incoming freshmen who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, leadership potential, and community involvement.

The scholarship covers full tuition and fees, as well as an annual stipend for room and board and other expenses. In addition to the financial award, Presidential Scholars are provided with opportunities to engage with faculty and other high-achieving students at USF, participate in specialized academic and leadership programs, and receive mentorship and support throughout their academic career.

Recipients of the Presidential Award are expected to maintain a high level of academic performance and to participate in leadership and service activities while enrolled at USF.

Eligibility Criteria For University of South Florida Presidential Award

The University of South Florida (USF) Presidential Award is a highly competitive merit-based scholarship awarded to incoming freshmen based on their academic achievements. The eligibility criteria for the Presidential Award include:

  • Applicants must be incoming freshmen enrolling at USF in the fall semester.
  • Applicants must have a minimum high school GPA of 4.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Applicants must have a minimum SAT score of 1400 (or ACT composite score of 30).
  • Applicants must have completed a rigorous academic curriculum during high school, including honors, Advanced Placement (AP), or International Baccalaureate (IB) courses.
  • Applicants must demonstrate significant leadership, service, and extracurricular involvement during high school.

In addition to the above criteria, the Presidential Award may also take into account factors such as financial need, diversity, and geographic location in the selection process.
