Eligibility Criteria For Upsolve Access to Justice

Upsolve is a non-profit organization that provides assistance to low-income individuals seeking relief from debt through bankruptcy. The eligibility criteria for accessing Upsolve’s services are as follows:

  • You must be a resident of the United States.
  • You must have a household income below 150% of the federal poverty guidelines.
  • You must have unsecured debts (e.g. credit card debt, medical bills) totaling between $10,000 and $100,000.
  • You must not have filed for bankruptcy within the past eight years.
  • You must not own any significant assets (e.g. a home, a car worth more than $5,000) that would be at risk of being sold in a bankruptcy case.
