If you’re a woman enrolled in a master’s degree program typically dominated by men, you may want to consider applying for the Selected Professions Fellowship. This fellowship is available to female university students pursuing degrees in predominantly male fields, such as architecture, computer science, engineering, and mathematics. Women of color may also apply for MBA, law, and doctoral programs. The American Association of University Women (AAUW), a non-profit organization founded in 1881 to promote education and equity for women, offers this scholarship. While the AAUW initially supported women in the law and medicine fields, they now provide support for women pursuing STEM careers. Every year, selected recipients are given $20,000 each to assist with their master’s degree programs.
