Knowles Teaching Fellowship is an award for master’s degree recipients to pursue a one-year teaching fellowship at the postsecondary level. The fellowships are awarded through the Knowles Teacher Preparation Program and are designed to train highly qualified candidates in innovative, engaging teaching practices that can be implemented in classrooms today.If you have a degree in a science or mathematics field and aspire to become a STEM teacher, you may want to consider applying for the Knowles Teaching Fellowship. The fellowship is available to high school STEM teachers, both current and incoming, who hold at least a bachelor’s degree in the subject they plan to teach. The Knowles Teacher Initiative is a nonprofit organization supporting teachers to become innovative and determined leaders. It is pleased to provide this opportunity to students. The organization’s math and science teachers network collaborates to enhance education in the United States. The fellowship provides $30,000 in funding to multiple recipients each year, to support and encourage their fellow teachers. A public or private high school must nominate applicants. Among the eligibility requirements, applicants must have a 3.0 GPA and demonstrate excellence in teaching, communication, and student service. Aspiring STEM teachers can participate in the Knowles Teacher Preparation Program to gain hands-on experience in the classroom.
