About This Scholarship

To encourage Big Brothers Big Sisters of Saginaw County members to devote their time to helping people in need and pursue higher education at Ferris State University, the Carrie B. Hines Endowment Scholarship was established. Before graduating from high school, applicants must be at least two years involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Saginaw County, complete at least 20 hours of volunteer work at a Veterans Health Administration hospital or clinic, identify as a member of a racial minority, and maintain a 2.0 GPA. (If the student does not meet all of the aforementioned prerequisites, consult the website for additional eligibility requirements.)
