Since 1950, the Korean University Club of Hawaii, which was founded in 1936, has given academic scholarships to students with Korean heritage. The Korean University Club of Hawaii is a multigenerational organisation of people with Korean ancestry in America that carries on the goals of its founders by fostering an appreciation of cultural history, being involved in local issues, and offering educational opportunities. Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 2.7, be Hawai’i residents, be of partial Korean origin, and demonstrate financial need in order to be considered.
