About This Scholarship

With the possibility to receive the scholarship again in their senior year (up to $10,000 over a 2-year period), one rising junior will be approved each year. Students must be rising college juniors, be enrolled in a degree program in environmental studies, the natural sciences, or a closely related field of study, and either be a resident of Minnesota or come from an underrepresented group to qualify. No one on the MWWF’s board of directors, officials, or selection committee may be linked to the applicant, who must be a citizen of the United States or an eligible noncitizen.
