Candidates are encouraged to submit applications by the Sustainable Agriculture & Forestry Scholarship Endowment Fund. Applicants must be committed to protecting and preserving our natural resources and associated economic and social conditions, have a strong background in communication, and exhibit leadership qualities. They must also have a demonstrated strong interest in and commitment to completely sustainable agricultural and/or forestry practises. Candidates must be residents of one of Minnesota’s 11 Southeast Counties (Rice, Goodhue, Wabasha, Steele, Dodge, Olmsted, Winona, Freeborn, Mower, Fillmore, and Houston) and be enrolled in educational programmes at public or non-profit private institutions in the five-state region of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, South Dakota, and North Dakota.
