About This Scholarship

The Orange County Chinese American Chamber of Commerce Foundation (OCCACCF) is an organization dedicated to providing scholarships and mentorship opportunities for students of Asian heritage. The OCCACCF Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to high school graduates, college undergraduates and graduate students who are residents of Orange County, California. Recipients must demonstrate a commitment to community service and involvement as well as maintain excellent academic standing throughout their course work. Each application is evaluated on merit-based criteria such as academic performance, leadership skills, extracurricular activities, community service/involvement and financial need. This scholarship opportunity helps make higher education more accessible for deserving students with a passion for learning!The Orange County Chinese American Chamber of Commerce Foundation offers a highly sought after scholarship for ten aspiring students every year. Each lucky recipient will receive $5,000 to cover tuition and other educational costs. This one-of-a-kind opportunity is open to all undergraduate college and university students in the United States with no restrictions on their area of study or financial need.

Eligibility Criteria For OCCACCF Scholarship

Students who meet the eligibility requirements listed below are eligible for this scholarship: 

  • Open to any high school, college or university student of Chinese descent residing in Orange County and its surrounding cities.
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at the time of application submission.
  • Must be pursuing a degree in business, finance, economics or related fields.
  • Financial need must be demonstrated through official documentation such as the FAFSA form (if applicable). 
  • Applicants must submit an essay demonstrating leadership qualities and career goals within 800 words max with 2-3 photos attached if desired.
  • A letter of recommendation from current/past instructor is required for verification purposes along with other documents as requested by OCCACCF Scholarship Program Committee.
